Rebalanced with a flattened V: cleaner bass control, smoother upper mids/treble and a mid-centric, forgiving tone that feels pricier than its bracket. At low volumes it can come off a bit dull compared to the OG’s brighter, boomier snap. Cleaner bass control, smoother treble and a mid-centric balance make it long-session friendly and pricier-sounding. Lower upper-treble air and low-volume engagement may feel too relaxed for gamers or boom-seekers.
Youtube Video Summary

Celest’s Wyvern Black Remaster brings a thoroughly reworked shell and acoustic package, with a brass nozzle and revised mesh, but the story is the tuning. The classic V has been flattened: bass is dialed down and tightened, upper-mids/treble are smoothed, and the whole response tucks just under the mids. The result is a warmer, more forgiving and noticeably more mid-centric balance that reads like a step up from the typical $20–30 set.

The bass shows markedly better control and tactility—mid-bass stays lightly lifted without the OG’s boom—while the softened upper treble removes glare and fatigue for long-session listening. This voicing benefits from a slight volume nudge to “align” bass, mids, and treble; at very low levels it can feel subdued. Listeners who prefer a sharper, brighter presentation (gamers, casual bass-boost fans) may still favor the OG’s lively snap.

Technicalities track the retune: reduced top-end noise and a more coherent, stage-aware presentation give a cleaner, more seamless soundstage that resembles pricier sets. The trade-off is less upper-treble air and apparent detail versus the OG’s lift, though a subtle +1–2 dB above 10 kHz can add a touch of sparkle if desired. Overall, this remaster’s rebalancing delivers a cleaner, more natural signature that punches above its price without flashy peaks.

Bass and treble focused hybrid with an engaging V shaped tuning that works very well for electronic music but leaves vocals recessed and keeps it from being a true all rounder. Engaging V shaped tuning with deep sub bass and lively treble that suits electronic and energetic music, plus a comfortable isolating shell and a good selection of tips. Recessed vocals, unconventional presence region and an average stock cable make this set less suitable for vocal centric music and weaker as a value choice than Celest CD20 dongle in the same ecosystem.
Youtube Video Summary

Celest Ignite X Beast pairs a striking 3D printed faceplate with an ear hugging shell that uses a wing to lock in place, giving a tighter fit and stronger passive isolation than the simpler Wyvern style shells from the brand. The body of the shell is a bit larger, so it fills more of the ear, but for those who tolerate the wing the result is a secure, comfortable wear with an immersive seal that suits louder environments. The package is modest overall, yet the inclusion of the familiar 07 eartips is a nice touch, offering a genuinely good tip option even if the basic black cable feels rather generic for what Celest can usually offer.

On the tuning side Ignite X Beast uses a one dynamic plus one balanced armature setup aimed at a tuning concept rather than another safe Harman style curve, with elevated sub bass and mid bass defining a full, fun low end. The bass reaches deep with roughly 8 to 9 dB of lift and flows smoothly into the lower mids, giving electronic and energetic tracks plenty of weight while still feeling reasonably controlled and supportive of the treble. Upper mids and presence are shaped more unconventionally, with an early rise and a noticeable dip through the presence region that pulls vocals back, so voices and acoustic instruments sit behind the strong bass and the later treble emphasis.

The treble is tuned for engagement rather than strict neutrality, combining an early 2 kHz lift with a later boost around 10 kHz, which can sound slightly bright or thin to some but matches the overall V shaped profile and gives synths and effects extra sparkle. This focus on bass and treble makes Ignite X Beast a better match for electronic music and other non vocal material than for traditional pop or rock where natural vocals matter more, and overall it feels like a niche but coherent idea rather than a universal daily driver. Within the Celest lineup it comes across as an interesting experiment in hybrid tuning with solid but not class leading technicalities, with the main appeal being a different and fun signature instead of the strongest value choice in its price bracket.
