Youtube Video Summary

Tigerism Sun Wukong is the brand’s flagship single-DD: a 14.2 mm dynamic driver, 44 Ω, and a sticker shock $750—but the tuning backs it up. The presentation wraps into a near-spherical soundstage, throwing close-up vocals and wide cues at the same time, with standout control from bass to treble. Low end hits with authority yet stays tidy—none of that swampy boom—while the top end keeps shimmer without splash. It’s also very sensitive, revealing amp noise and changing flavor noticeably across sources; a good tube or a smooth solid-state front end elevates it from “great” to “goosebumps.”

Build is a mixed bag. The shells wear a cute kitty-face motif but don’t scream “$750 jewel,” the stock cable has an odd hex transition with minimal strain relief, and the deep-set 2-pin plus short nozzle can pop tips if fit isn’t dialed. Swap to Divinus Velvet or similarly tight-core tips and comfort, seal, and tonality click into place. Accessories are sparse—magnetic case, soft pouch, a couple sets of tips—so the value sits almost entirely in the sound.

Once seated right and paired smartly, this set delivers a “Monkey King gone zen” vibe: explosive when asked, disciplined when the track demands. Big single-DD energy with real extension and texture, staging that can feel both intimate and cinematic, and dynamics that punch above its driver count. With the fit quirks and cable nitpicks holding it back from perfection, the verdict is a confident 9/10 for listeners chasing a controlled, immersive flagship with source-scaling magic.

Sounds nothing like the DM despite being marketed as a bassier version. Lacks any sort treble bite, with all instruments requiring higher frequencies sounding muffled.

The Tigerism Sun Wukong features an all-metal build with a striking Monkey King illustration, feeling durable but somewhat chunky. Its short nozzle and weight can lead to inconsistent fit and isolation, varying significantly between users. Accessories are minimal for the price, including only a cable, two tip types, a case, and a pouch .

Sound-wise, the 14.2mm dynamic driver delivers a deep, expansive bass with controlled sub-bass focus and textured mid-bass, avoiding bleed into the mids. The midrange offers clarity, with warm lower mids and slightly forward female vocals, though male vocals exhibit a noticeable dip. Treble suffers from unevenness and reduced decay, limiting detail retrieval and contributing to an average soundstage despite good separation .
