Discontinued, but one of the best female vocals I've heard on any IEMs at higher volume. Top tier mids under $500. Spring Tips improves vocals and treble clarity. Great around the head imaging, but imaging is less layered than 07M. Treble can be dark at lower/mid volumes, but shines when cranked up. Super immersive. High volume listening recommened.

Discontinued. The first true love and one of my favourite sets of all time. Up to 500usd, this is a no-brainer rec for my library. Great techs for the price. Treble can be slight dark for some - I love it. Most people will prefer Mk2 version.

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

B
  • The tuning leans easygoing, yet occasional unevenness nudges it away from greatness. A bit of EQ polish can smooth things nicely.

Average Technical Grade

B-
  • Overall technicalities are acceptable, delivering enough clarity for casual sessions. Imaging is serviceable though not immersive.
Bass C+
Low-end delivery feels competent yet unremarkable, keeping a safe profile. Low-end bloom is kept in check.
Mids B-
The region sounds agreeable overall, delivering clarity without flashiness. Slight warmth keeps things easy-going.
Treble C-
Highs are present enough yet carry a bit of grain and splash. Busy mixes can still feel a bit splashy.
Dynamics C-
Expect modest dynamics that keep music listenable without thrill. Micro-contrast is serviceable.
Soundstage B
Lateral spread stretches comfortably while front/back cues start to feel convincing. You can trace front-to-back movement.
Details C+
Ambient cues appear, albeit with softer focus than die-hard resolution seekers may prefer. You can follow supporting instruments well.
Imaging C+
Decent positional accuracy provides good left/right placement with an acceptable center image. Instruments stay anchored once placed.
Gaming B-
Moderate spatial presentation conveys general directionality. Suitable for casual play where precision isn't critical. Value-to-cost may not be optimal for gaming-focused users.
