Campire Audio Clara Ti

  • Makavelian: Best IEM I've heard to date for my preference (neutral warm) Remarkably natural tonality. Only IEM I've heard that's able to match the texture of my open-back planars whilst having a hefty elevation. Mids that seem to match my HRTF perfectly, coming across so vivid and lifelike. Treble is smooth and solid but not the most natural I've heard.

Unique Melody Maven II

  • Makavelian: One of the best sets fitting my neutral warm preference, period. Timbre and detail retrieval. Pinna gain elevation is ideal for my HRTF. Metallic tinge to treble, due to elevation around 6k - a region I'm sensitive and experience canal resonance at.

Sony IER-M9

  • Makavelian: Worth it at used prices for neutral warm all rounder. Great all rounder tuning, imaging, comfort. Bit lacking in engagement, bass typical of BA drivers.

Campfire Audio Andromeda 2019

  • Makavelian: Great all-rounder but may be better options under $1000 in the current market. Definitely demo if you get a chance. Sense of resolution, expansive soundstage with pinpoint imaging, very realistic, non fatiguing sounding treble. Bass quality and tuning, bass - low mids transition results in somewhat congested and overly thick sound. Source picky.

Softears Volume S

  • Makavelian: RSV with more bass quantity and better quality, at less than half the price. Very nicely balanced sound signature for all-rounder duties, with tonality and technical performance that punches above its price. More even sub - mid bass profile which results in a more cohesive, better textured bass vs harman/meta tuned sets. Pinna gain isn't an ideal fit for my HRTF, hearing slightly too much upper-mid emphasis after extended listening and comparisons. Upper treble is lacking air vs more expensive sets, most evident in cymbal hits coming across dulled, not unlike the RSV

Softears RSV

  • Makavelian: Solid pick at used prices for those wanting a neutral sound with hint of sub-bass oomph. Excellent balanced, all rounder sound signature with natural tonality, vocal reproduction is particularly pleasing. Hint of darkness in upper registers affecting overall sense of resolution, bass texture could be better.

Kiwi Ears KE4

  • Makavelian: Solid pick for the price, if you're after a warm neutral sound. Overall very pleasant balance with good tonality and perceived technicalities for the price. Bass can come off slightly boomy and a bit disjointed sounding at times, and somewhat relaxed upper mids gives a perception of bluntness to the sound, most evident on snare and other percussive strikes.

Sennheiser IE200

  • Makavelian: Better options for the price. Sense of clarity, comfortable fit that should fit any set of ears. lack of body from recessed low mids/upper bass, bass texture could be better.
