Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

D+
  • Significantly flawed tuning. Noticeable frequency imbalances and unnatural timbre distract from music. Lacks versatility across recordings.

Average Technical Grade

D+

Bass D+
Bass is light and underwhelming. While some faint rumble exists, it lacks punch and authority in any meaningful way.
Mids D+
Midrange is significantly uneven with coloration. Some frequencies are boosted while others are missing, creating an unnatural tone.
Treble D-
Treble is noticeably dark and lacking extension. Cymbals lack shimmer and high-frequency details are obscured.
Dynamics E+
Limited dynamic range with poor micro-detail. Subtle volume changes are lost, and transients lack proper attack.
Soundstage C+
Decent spatial presentation with noticeable width. Some depth perception but height dimension remains underdeveloped.
Details D+
Modest detail presentation with significant loss of texture. Nuances are masked and complex passages become congested.
Imaging D
Modest imaging with basic left/right positioning. Lacks precision for center placement and suffers from positional blurring.
Gaming D+
Compromised imaging significantly impacts gameplay awareness. Directional cues often lack accuracy or consistency.

Comment: It's a marked improvement over the honeydew at least. Cramped sounding

Bass can be a little bit on the distracting side if you are looking for a neutral sound signature. Contrasty meta-tuning.

Clean balanced tuning done right. A better tuned MEGA5EST & MOONDROP Meteor with fuller low-end, and more treble extension, same tech, but more dynamic - also half the price. A Mega5EST with better vocals and dynamics but less smooth and airy. Low-end will be weak to some people and on certain tracks. Not the most unique sound since it's clean/neutral/balanced.
