Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss reviewed by Audionotions

Audionotions 4.5 Reviewer Score
Decent V-shaped IEM that is reminiscent of an Aria or TinHifi IEM. Very punchy bass with decent clarity. The molded shell feels like it belongs on a more expensive IEM and the faceplate is among the best looking I've seen. The cable is pretty decent as well with metal finishings and a usable chin cinch and alone would be a good value at $20. Can't really fault the Wyvern Abyss for what it is, especially at this price. Decent midrange performance - balanced but unremarkable. Adequate clarity for most genres without notable flaws.

QX-over Scorings

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

E-
  • Tonally jarring or fatiguing. Frequency clashes (e.g., piercing treble, bloated bass) make extended listening unpleasant. Poor genre adaptation.

Average Technical Grade

E-
  • Noticeably blurred or congested. Struggles with basic instrument separation; details are lost in simple tracks. Feels "flat" and one-dimensional.
Mids E-
Midrange is extremely recessed and muddy. Critical vocal frequencies are buried, making lyrics hard to discern.
Treble E-
Treble is extremely rolled off and veiled. High frequencies are barely perceptible with significant loss of detail.
Dynamics E-
Extremely poor dynamic expression. Lacks any sense of impact or volume gradation, making music feel one-dimensional.
Soundstage E+
Limited spatial presentation with minimal width. Instruments lack separation and sound clumped together with no depth.
Gaming E-
Compromised imaging significantly impacts gameplay awareness. Directional cues often lack accuracy or consistency.
