Comment: Bass-boosted, warmer sounding Quarks with similar resolution. Harman-tuned inoffensive sound Can sound muddy on crowded tracks

Bought for the filters. It's not a bad set to throw in the backpack. Nothing special but also not offensive.

Bad fit (bullet style). Ok for the price but I can't really rec it. Needs a lot of power, which is a non-sense. Great acessories. Stage presentation is good but depth isn't. Bloated tuning.

Warm/airy all-rounder. Nice mid-bass and air for rock. Very smooth for price.

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

C-
  • Uneven emphasis across the spectrum keeps the presentation unsettled and awkward. Acoustic instruments lose their natural body.

Average Technical Grade

D+
  • Resolution is limited, masking finer nuances and narrowing the soundstage. Busy mixes still overwhelm it with ease.
Bass D+
It hints at bass presence but never quite delivers satisfying punch. Percussion lacks a satisfying weight.
Mids C-
It delivers a workable midrange that could benefit from smoother transitions. Timbre isn't quite convincing yet.
Treble D
Treble balance wavers, creating a mix of recessed detail and harsh flashes. Highs feel restless and unfocused.
Dynamics C-
It maintains a steady dynamic profile that neither offends nor inspires. Swells arrive but lack drama.
Soundstage C-
Average soundstage with adequate width but a flat presentation that lacks meaningful layering. Width is acceptable but not exciting.
Details D
Information density overwhelms it quickly, so finer layers fade beneath the surface. Intricate passages blur when pushed.
Imaging D
Depth barely registers, so the stage resembles a shallow arc. Depth cues are barely sketched.
Gaming D+
Compromised imaging significantly impacts gameplay awareness. Directional cues often lack accuracy or consistency.

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

B-
  • Expect a friendly tonal balance that could use polish but remains inviting. Great for casual listening, less so for purists.

Average Technical Grade

C+
  • Overall technicalities are acceptable, delivering enough clarity for casual sessions. Imaging is serviceable though not immersive.
Bass B-
Low-end delivery feels competent yet unremarkable, keeping a safe profile. Low-end bloom is kept in check.
Mids D+
Tonal balance in the mids is erratic, with certain notes leaping out unnaturally. Certain notes leap out while others vanish.
Treble C+
Treble feels agreeable overall, bringing sparkle without significant fatigue. You get a polite sense of air.
Soundstage B
Lateral spread stretches comfortably while front/back cues start to feel convincing. You can trace front-to-back movement.
Details B-
The mix feels articulate, yet the tiniest ripples don't always sparkle. Background ambience is reasonably clear.
Imaging B
Layered vocals and harmonies remain distinct and easy to track. Layered vocals remain easy to track.
Gaming B-
Moderate spatial presentation conveys general directionality. Suitable for casual play where precision isn't critical.
