Permanently on sale for $10, a steal at that price given the build and tuning is nice as well. Had some fit issues at first, but ya, another all-rounder.

Solid pick with minor tonality problems around the upper mid-range. 2pin sockets are loose and prone for drops.

Tripowin Piccolo Scorings

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

C+
  • The tuning leans easygoing, yet occasional unevenness nudges it away from greatness. A bit of EQ polish can smooth things nicely.

Average Technical Grade

C
  • Resolution is limited, masking finer nuances and narrowing the soundstage. Busy mixes still overwhelm it with ease.
Bass C-
Expect a conservative bass profile that maintains order but little excitement. Basslines track along but rarely stand out.
Mids D
Mid frequencies swing wildly, colouring vocals and instruments unpredictably. Instruments trade places unpredictably.
Treble D
Highs feel erratic, with dips and spikes that make the signature unpredictable. It alternates between splashy and dull.
Details D
Information density overwhelms it quickly, so finer layers fade beneath the surface. Intricate passages blur when pushed.
Imaging D
Panning effects blur at the edges, making movement sound smeared. Fast panning effects smear noticeably.
Gaming C
Minimal environmental definition provides only general audio cues. Suitable for games where positioning isn't critical.
