KZ AM16

  • Web Search: The KZ AM16 is an all-BA in-ear monitor using 8 BA drivers per side (16 total) and offered in two editions—Balanced and Bass-Enhanced. Independent listings and user reviews confirm the per-side...
  • Paul Wasabii: A fun, bass-leaning all-BA tuning with relaxed treble and natural tonality. Technicalities are decent for $57 but need some volume to shine.  Engaging, thicker tuning with thumpy mid-bass, natural vocals, and minimal BA timbre for the price.  Relaxed upper treble and a 5 kHz dip reduce air and perceived clarity at low volumes; large shell may challenge smaller ears.

KZ Duet

  • Jaytiss: Build quality is Earbud, I'd recommend the USB-C unless you need the wired.
  • Paul Wasabii: Dual dynamic drivers in an earbud style shell deliver tight, fast bass with clear mids and lively treble that suit both music and gaming; sub-bass weight is modest. The optional DSP dongle is handy...  Clean, sharp imaging with big projected stage and tight, fast bass makes it good for both music and gaming.  Sub-bass is light and the mid/treble edge can read a bit BA-like or fatiguing for some listeners.

  • Paul Wasabii: Vocal focused 2DD with boosted upper mids and lower treble. Bass shelf has good impact, but stage and upper treble air are typical for the price and it works best at lower volumes.  Clear, vivid vocals and a well judged bass shelf with snappy impact for the price.  Upper mids dominate at higher volumes, trimming warmth and masking upper treble air; stage is on the small side.
