Best IEM I've heard to date for my preference (neutral warm)
Pros
Remarkably natural tonality. Only IEM I've heard that's able to match the texture of my open-back planars whilst having a hefty elevation. Mids that seem to match my HRTF perfectly, coming across so vivid and lifelike.Cons
Treble is smooth and solid but not the most natural I've heard. One of the best sets fitting my neutral warm preference, period.
Pros
Timbre and detail retrieval. Pinna gain elevation is ideal for my HRTF.Cons
Metallic tinge to treble, due to elevation around 6k - a region I'm sensitive and experience canal resonance at.Great all-rounder but may be better options under $1000 in the current market. Definitely demo if you get a chance.
Pros
Sense of resolution, expansive soundstage with pinpoint imaging, very realistic, non fatiguing sounding treble.Cons
Bass quality and tuning, bass - low mids transition results in somewhat congested and overly thick sound. Source picky.
7.5
Worth it at used prices for neutral warm all rounder.
Pros
Great all rounder tuning, imaging, comfort.Cons
Bit lacking in engagement, bass typical of BA drivers.RSV with more bass quantity and better quality, at less than half the price.
Pros
Very nicely balanced sound signature for all-rounder duties, with tonality and technical performance that punches above its price. More even sub - mid bass profile which results in a more cohesive, better textured bass vs harman/meta tuned sets.Cons
Pinna gain isn't an ideal fit for my HRTF, hearing slightly too much upper-mid emphasis after extended listening and comparisons. Upper treble is lacking air vs more expensive sets, most evident in cymbal hits coming across dulled, not unlike the RSVSolid pick at used prices for those wanting a neutral sound with hint of sub-bass oomph.
Pros
Excellent balanced, all rounder sound signature with natural tonality, vocal reproduction is particularly pleasing.Cons
Hint of darkness in upper registers affecting overall sense of resolution, bass texture could be better. If this is what 'fun' sounds like, I ain't about it.
Pros
Detail retrievalCons
Recessed mids and odd timbre.
6.5
Solid pick for the price, if you're after a warm neutral sound.
Pros
Overall very pleasant balance with good tonality and perceived technicalities for the price.Cons
Bass can come off slightly boomy and a bit disjointed sounding at times, and somewhat relaxed upper mids gives a perception of bluntness to the sound, most evident on snare and other percussive strikes.Best I've heard under $50
Pros
Excellent tuning for the price, small shells should fit vast majority of ears well.Cons
Touch too much eargain, can come off as shouty/honky at times, easily remedied with 10 band EQ.Better tuned options at this price range.
Pros
Responsiveness to EQCons
Typical harman IEM tuning - thin bodied and honky sounding.
