Tangzu Xuan Wu Gate

  • Jays Audio: Clean, neutral, balanced, technical, laid back, very detailed. Neutral tuning done right while being a little dynamic/engaging. Tip wise Azla spinfits for more detail, tangzu sancai regular for...
  • Gizaudio Axel:  Solid mid-bass, natural vocals, and detailed treble.  Treble is a bit elevated, and upper mids feel a bit relaxed.
  • Tim Tuned:  Great relaxed tuning. Satisfying subbass and treble  Female vocal lack a bit of life

TangZu Tian Peng

  • Jays Audio: A cleaner more neutral Bajie with less bass and more treble energy. Clean, slightly vocal forward with some bite. Azla tips for more bass and treble energy/bite but can get shouty - Sancai Nobles for...

Tangzu Zetian Wu Heyday

  • Jays Audio: Clean and neutral with treble emphasis. Great technical performance. Airy and lively treble. Bass could use more impact and weight. Vocals are on the lighter side of things.
  • Jaytiss: I can't really recomend this with other planars at much cheaper.
  • Tim Tuned:  More detailed than original + better bass  treble can be smoother
  • Shuwa-T: Comment: Imagine getting a 2 pin cable's polarity wrong, please Tangzu work on your QC.  Smooth midrange, meaty low with characteristic planar subbass extension, relatively smooth treble; detail retrieval is above average  Transition from midbass to lower mids isn't clear cut, not as clean. Doesn't sound special tbh.
  • Nymz: Mid-range focused planar for those looking for a great planar set that is not V-shaped. Love it.
  • Audionotions: Well-tuned, technical, does nothing wrong. Build quality is much better than OG Wu. Even the driver used is different. They should have renamed it instead of keeping the Wu Zetian name because it's...

Tangzu HBB Xuan NV

  • Jays Audio: A smoother hexa, and mini-nova. Very clean and balanced all-rounder. Good vocal set. Harman 2019 with more mid-bass, less uppermids and sub-bass. Nothing crazy, but does every genre very well.
  • Jaytiss: Great overall package, smooth chill tuning. Poor techs.
  • Shuwa-T: Comment: Why is there hype for this?.  Safe tuning, decent treble tuning for the price  Mediocre techs, overly rounded bass region
  • Head-Fi.org: 15 community members have rated the Tangzu HBB Xuan NV at an average of 4.4/5 on Head-Fi. Overall sentiment: Excellent.

TangZu Wu Zetian Legend

  • Jays Audio: Treblehead set with lots of treble detail, great tech, but may be too spicy/overboosted for most people. Feels unnatural and fatiguing on lots of tracks unless at lower volumes. OG WU & HEYDAY are...
  • Jaytiss: Beautiful packaging, can be bright, like the sun.
  • Tim Tuned:  Good mild v-shape tuning with little to fault  Not ideal soundstage for the price
  • Shuwa-T: Comment: Can be disguised as a DD type of speed.  Tuned to be balanced rather than V with more vocal emphasis, bass slams hard for a planar  Mediocre soundstage and not the speediest of planar decay, overly warm
  • Nymz: V-shape. Great bass for a plannar. Nice imaging. Treble is still planar wonky but not terrible. Might be my favourite planar so far, but it seems to need power than competition.
  • Audionotions: V-signature. Not really hearing much of a planar timbre here - could have told me it was DD and I might have believed it. A bit fuzzy and recessed through the mids. Bass is boomy but not well...
  • Paul Wasabii: Dual planar concept in a beautiful shell, but slightly hot treble brings planar timbre and the set trails single-planar rivals in resolution and coherence.  Premium shell and finish with comfortable feel, plus stronger bass presence than expected for a planar tuning.  Elevated treble yields planar timbre and underwhelming resolution and coherence for the price.

Tangzu Waner 2

  • Jaytiss: The stock USB C cable came jacked up.... lame.
  • Z-Reviews: $24 and surprisingly dressed to impress: flashy anime box art, a tidy accessory layout, and a whole box of ear tips including textured silicones that grip like an orange-peel finish. The stock ...
  • Head-Fi.org: 15 community members have rated the Tangzu Waner 2 at an average of 4.1/5 on Head-Fi. Overall sentiment: Very Positive.
  • Audio Amigo: The original Wan'Er. But with a better cable, better build, a full set of Tang Sancai Tips, and a nicer, more premium feeling build. Same great vocal focused sound.
  • Kois Archive: Rating: B- | Value: ⭐⭐ | Comfort: 10  green and a pouch. same tuning as waner 2  comes with sancai wide bore
  • Paul Wasabii: Hardware improvements land well, but the tuning tweaks push ear gain and treble, suiting low-volume listening more than general use. The original Wan’er remains the safer all-rounder.  Flat 2-pin connector and included balanced tips; clearer, more detailed at low volumes with a bit more air and stage.  Extra ear-gain and upper-treble energy can sound bright and fatiguing at normal volumes, narrowing the appeal versus the original.

TangZu Wan'er S.G

  • Jays Audio: Basically the modded Zero with slight more bass. Most vocal forward out of the $20 sets.
  • Jaytiss: I just bought and reevaluated, such a bad experience.
  • Tim Tuned:  Can't believe this is $20....  Details is only okay
  • Shuwa-T: Comment: It's literally $20, recommended to buy when starting out or as a beater set.  Probably the most balanced sounding at its price  Average tech like its other counterparts, bass is less controlled
  • Nymz: Solid tuning that could use more extension in the upper region, but a very solid pick for its price.
  • Head-Fi.org: 8 community members have rated the TangZu Wan'er S.G at an average of 4.3/5 on Head-Fi. Overall sentiment: Excellent.
  • Audio Amigo: Budget pick for J-Pop and Female Vocals. Good Bass. Lacking some detail
