Audionotions 4.5 Reviewer Score
Decent V-shaped IEM that is reminiscent of an Aria or TinHifi IEM. Very punchy bass with decent clarity. The molded shell feels like it belongs on a more expensive IEM and the faceplate is among the best looking I've seen. The cable is pretty decent as well with metal finishings and a usable chin cinch and alone would be a good value at $20. Can't really fault the Wyvern Abyss for what it is, especially at this price. Lacks technicalities - mainly regarding detail, separation and dynamics. Stage is intimate. Timbre is funky. Notes are a bit blurry. Tuning is mostly fine. Nothing new at this current market.

KZ CRN Scorings

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

D-
  • Tonally jarring or fatiguing. Frequency clashes (e.g., piercing treble, bloated bass) make extended listening unpleasant. Poor genre adaptation.

Average Technical Grade

E+
  • Noticeably blurred or congested. Struggles with basic instrument separation; details are lost in simple tracks. Feels "flat" and one-dimensional.
Bass E+
Noticeably thin bass presence. Lacks body and texture, leaving low frequencies feeling hollow and underdeveloped.
Mids D+
Midrange is significantly uneven with coloration. Some frequencies are boosted while others are missing, creating an unnatural tone.
Treble E+
Treble is noticeably dark and lacking extension. Cymbals lack shimmer and high-frequency details are obscured.
Dynamics E+
Limited dynamic range with poor micro-detail. Subtle volume changes are lost, and transients lack proper attack.
Soundstage C+
Decent spatial presentation with noticeable width. Some depth perception but height dimension remains underdeveloped.
Details E+
Noticeably blurred and lacking definition. Background elements are smeared together and micro-details are inaudible.
Imaging E+
Poor instrument placement with unstable positioning. Instruments drift and lack fixed locations within the sound field.
Gaming E+
Compromised imaging significantly impacts gameplay awareness. Directional cues often lack accuracy or consistency.
