Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss reviewed by Audionotions

Audionotions 4.5 Reviewer Score
Decent V-shaped IEM that is reminiscent of an Aria or TinHifi IEM. Very punchy bass with decent clarity. The molded shell feels like it belongs on a more expensive IEM and the faceplate is among the best looking I've seen. The cable is pretty decent as well with metal finishings and a usable chin cinch and alone would be a good value at $20. Can't really fault the Wyvern Abyss for what it is, especially at this price. Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

D-
  • Tonally jarring or fatiguing. Frequency clashes (e.g., piercing treble, bloated bass) make extended listening unpleasant. Poor genre adaptation.

Midrange is thin and hollow with noticeable gaps. Instruments lack body and vocals sound distant and weak.

Uneven treble response with noticeable peaks and dips. Can sound both dull and occasionally harsh simultaneously.
Soundstage D
Modest soundstage that feels confined. Some left/right separation but completely lacks depth and height dimensions.
Details C
Average resolution - reveals basic elements but misses subtleties. Satisfactory for casual listening but lacks refinement.

Average imaging - reasonable localization but lacks specificity. Instruments have general positions but lack pinpoint accuracy.
Gaming D+
Compromised imaging significantly impacts gameplay awareness. Directional cues often lack accuracy or consistency.
