Moondrop x Crinacle Dusk

• Inoffensive safe tuning, less fatiguing uppermids good for jpop/kpop. Vocals lack the last bit of extension, detail, and power. DSP APP is a shit show. Heavy competition from Nova, Cincotres, Hype 4.
• Great bass quality, rich vocals, balanced tonality, sparkly treble, and excellent resolution. I prefer more bass. Excellent tuning and a highly detailed, all-around performer.
• Just so chill with certain music.
• Pros: Balanced tuning with world class timbre decay.
• Overall high engagement factor.

Moondrop A8

• An odd but surprisingly decent take on the Harman signature, with added midbass compared to the S8.

• Harman-like sound with plenty of detail. BA bass. Smooth, detailed, and balanced tuning.
• More faithful to the Harman target compared to the A8, with a smoother bass response.
• Special set.
• Excellent treble extension and detail retrieval.
• Pros: Smooth engaging harman signature with fun bass. Cons: BA timbre.
• Very resolving with a sweet, pleasant timbre. Good mids and treble. Average bass. Upper-mids may be shouty to some.

Moondrop Blessing 3

• Bright-neutral. Slight resolution bump over the B2 Dusk, but at the cost of weak bass and sharp 6K.
• Neutral, vocal-focused sound with great treble extension and detail. Light bass, can sound lean, thin and technical. Excellent resolution.
• A little lean, but if you eq it's one of the best sets out there for the price.
• Detail-oriented signature at the expense of sounding quite anemic.
• Pros: Brighter, slightly more detailed version of B2 Dusk. Cons: Bass a little light.

Moondrop Meteor

• Neutral, clean and clear vocals, vocals pop out, good tech. Next to no planar timbre - one of the least planar like planars. Treble isn't sizzly and bright, but vocals can get shouty on energetic...
• Forward vocals, super smooth treble. Bass lacks weight, impact, and slam. I need more bass!
• Bright leaning. But very nice when it hits.
• Objectvly great but unengaging. Not a set I reach for often. Maybe I am underrating it a bit.

• Very well tuned from bass to treble, perhaps lacking in the last octaves of extension.
• Pros: Very well tuned neutral signature.

Moondrop Blessing 2: Dusk

• Great resolution and separation. Vocals can sound recessed/thin, and is sibilant at higher volumes. Uneven and grainy treble. Clinical, thin, and not as musical as others sets.
• Pros: Very well tuned with great bass responsse.
• Great midrange with a natural timbre. Could use better bass and treble quality/extension. Mids may be too forward for some.

Moondrop Crescent

• Well-executed V-ish signature that's neither harsh nor bloated.

Moondrop x Crinacle DUSK 2nd Unit

• Fills in the uppermids, better extension, less 8-10K peak, less channel imbalance, and just a better tuning overall versus the first unit - that's chifi qc baby!!

Moondrop Kadenz

• Literally a more fancy Tangzu Xuan NV. Sounds basically the same but just with better packaging, cable/case, and build... but for $100 more?? Nah
• Great Cohessiveness and tonality. Upper air is very nice.
• Nice physicality and punch. Better bass as most basy IEMs. Okay technicalities. Image Separation is not the widest but decent.

Moondrop May

• A very enjoyable listen, hard to fault at this price and design. Could be a winner for you.
• The May is the way to go if you have 80 bucks. Standard EQ sounds great. Nice low contrast neutral sound

• Clean Harman 2019 sound. Clear and balanced, but can still be shouty in the vocals. New Crossover and 3DD talk is marketing jargon not that much difference vs other DDs. You can just buy Nova or...
• While fun, and a nice tune, it's not the best value to be had.
• Does not actually sound as it graphs. More dominant Bass than you might expect. Warm tilted slightly contrasty sound signature. Kind of a fine IEM.

Moondrop Kato

• For $200, I'd probably recomend other iems. But it's solid.
• A slight improvement over the KXXS all-round in the technical department.
• Pros: KXXS with better vocals and details.

Moondrop Dark Saber

• It has it's moments, but it is a massive please demo first style iem.
• Basically the Moondrop S8 with a dynamic driver for the bass. Negatively affects the coherency of the presentation.

Moondrop Solis 2

• Great bass quality, vocal clarity, and detail. I prefer more bass.
• Very mediocre sounding overall and build quality is reminiscent of a $20 IEM.

Moondrop Illustrious

• Nice single DD, not a benchmark, but very nice.
• Sounds like it has metallic timbre. Percussino compression around 5kHz due to lack of treble extension and generally bad tuning.
• Sounds like an open-back IEM. It delivers on open design. Something to consider if you are looking for that.

• Terrific tonal balance and bass shelf, but with slightly gritty treble and poor bass texturing.

Moondrop KXXS

• Well-tuned single DD with proper timbre and decent technicalities.
• Excellent timbre; not the most resolving set, but very easy on the ears.

• A KXXS with less treble extension and slightly poorer resolution.

Moondrop Aria 2

• A more engaging Aria SE with more bass, air, and reverb. Feels too smoothed out with a hit in the texture. Bump in tech over the old one, but pricing is an issue vs EW200 and EW300
• Nice package for the price.

Moondrop Dusk 2

• Treble sounds somewhat brittle/thin without DSP applied. DSP has same artifical tinge albeit better tonality.

Moondrop Blessing

• All rounder that comes the closest to the Harman Target.
• Harman target hitter with surprisingly poor bass for a DD. Get the Blessing 2 instead.

Moondrop Aria

• A cheaper Starfield.
• See KXXS. Just slightly less upper-midrange and more bass.
• Pros: Pleasing neutral tuning with impressive wide stage.

Moondrop Aria 2 RED

• A slightly more vocal centric Aria 2, slightly less soft in the overall texture due to less air. Balanced-clean all-rounder. A bit pricy at $100, wait for sale.

Moondrop Solis

• A good implementation of the EST drivers with Moondrop's signature tuning specialties.
• Very plasticky and thin transients. Not very impressive.

• Another harman-ish tuning. Similar to Tanchjim One but not as smooth.

• See KXXS. Just slightly bassier.

Moondrop Sparks

• A tad too shouty and lacking low-level detail, but nothing too egregious as a whole.
• Solid tonal balance and great bass for a TWS.

Moondrop Chu

• An extremely well-tuned neutral IEM with a slightly bright and metallic tilt.
• A bit uninspired at this point, but no less a solid listen.
• Pros: Very well tuned and natural. Cons: Treble uneveness.

Moondrop Rays DSP

• A more neutral version of the May with less bass and treble, very neutral sounding, inoffensive and boring, overpriced, many cheaper options with similar tuning and performance
• When People ask me for the best IEM for gaming, I would probably point them to these.

Moondrop Kato outdated dont buy

• Good detail, clarity, and imaging, but can sound thin. Similar tuning as Hana, but I found Hana to have better note-weight and bass.

Moondrop KXXS / KXXX

• Pros: Great bass control. Cons: Out performed by Kato.

Moondrop SSR

• Probably as close as one can get to "true DF", though it's extremely shouty as a result.
• Shouty thanks to 13dB of pinna compensation, but excellent note definition and imaging for the price.

Moondrop Quarks DSP

• Super clean with great clarity. A better tuned Variations without the tech. Pinnacle of harman tuning. Although mid-bass scoop can affect some libraries.
• Pros: Very well-tuned, natural timbre. Cons: mushy details, noise floor, USB-C.

Moondrop Jiu

• Another one
• Pros: Expansive stage + Great tuning overall. Cons: Can use more transient incisiveness, USB-C.

Moondrop SSP

• Extra bass on top of the SSR does help it a little, but also results in a more hollow presentation.
• Very tiny. Good for sleeping with at night, maybe not as a daily driver.
• See SSR. Just more bass.

Moondrop MAY DSP

• Warm, intimate, but airy sound. Great accessories for the price. Warmer, and a little less resolving than EW200 and Aria 2, but DSP DAC+APP gives good versatility if no access to EQ.

Moondrop Starfield outdated dont buy

• Good soundstage/imaging, and note-weight. Aged well, although you can get the same with cheaper sets now.

Moondrop Aria SE outdated dont buy

• A cleaner OG Aria with the same driver as Starfield, another harman

Moondrop Aria outdated dont buy

• A more warmer Starfields with good thumpy bass, but bleeds into the mids. Recessed vocals. Treble peak.

Moondrop Illumination

• Well-tuned with natural timbre, ultimately marred by subpar detail retrieval and definition.
• Mushy transients and imaging, basically par with their other single DDs for techniclaities.

Moondrop Spaceship

• Shouty with a slight warm tilt as a counterbalance. Not the worst DF-ish IEM out there.
• Slightly more balanced than the Quarks in the midrange, but not by much.

Moondrop Aria Snow

• Sounds like a thinner Moondrop Aria and not really for the better.

Moondrop Quarks

• Sounds fairly open. Pinna compensation and transition to treble region needs work.
